It's really easy to love Cartier Martin. He's been cast aside by many teams, but he's still fighting hard to make the NBA. He has no problem with being a three-point guy and a defender, something many other more talented players have yet to accept. Keeping him on the roster was a no-brainer, considering the Wizards' desire to change their culture.
But here's the question: is Martin really that great of a player? His three-point shot comes and goes, and while he works hard on defense, we haven't really seen him shut down a top opposing scorer. He's also the kind of player that can be all over the place in the D-League and on the scrap heap. That's not to take anything away from him, but it's still worth pointing out before we put him in the team's future core.
Martin's contract becomes guaranteed on January 4, so he might not be here for long. Nevertheless, here's your chance to predict his numbers. As always, guess as many or as few as you'd like.
