Discussion thread: Frontcourt rotation

I'll have a long post on the defense up tonight.  Until then, this can tide you over. -mp

As mentioned in numerous places, Etan Thomas is close to returning this year.  If he were to return, he'll have to compete for minutes with Brendan Haywood, Antawn Jamison Andray Blatche, Darius Songaila, and gym-rat Pecherov.  That's six players for two spots, giving us more quality depth up front than ever before.

So, how do you break things down?  You don't need to give specific minute totals, but who would you drop from the rotation?

Personally, I think Etan and Songaila should get maybe 10 minutes a game each, and Blatche and Pech would be the primary backups, but I know Eddie Jordan isn't going to do that.  I really, really hope he doesn't go back to his old reliable veterans in lieu of not just the young talent of Blatche and Pech, but also Brendan Haywood.  In a way, therefore, the return of Etan scares me a lot.  In the past, we had nobody up front, but now that there's so many other guys there playing effectively, he doesn't really have a role.

But that's me.  How would you break it down?
