Jamison for Curry or Randolph? Yeah, no.
The Roger Mason diary
Highest Plus/Minus: Antonio Daniels & Antawn Jamison (+10)
Lowest Plus/Minus: Darius Songaila (-3)
Today was an eventful one for the Wiz, let's try and rank the events from the best to the worst:
- The Dream is still alive. SVPStyle chronicles how it has changed sports in the D.C. & Baltimore area.
- Etan Thomas is on the road to recovery.
- The Wizards' three-point shooting. Some of the shots that Stevenson and Butler were hitting were simply ridiculous and whenever you can get a random three from Daniels, it's all the better.
- The Wizards' D. Dallas came into the game averaging 101 points per game on 47% shooting, tonight 84 points on 41% shooting.
- Oleksiy Pecherov running the fast break!
- Oleksiy Pecherov with a block!
- Caron still hasn't hit missed a free throw this year.
- I swear Jamison released one of his scoop shots from his hip today. I don't know how he does it, but he does it and it's still amazing every time I see it.
- Nick Young closing out on a three point shot. There was one play (I think it was in the fourth, but it might've been the third) where Devin Harris shot a three and Young sprung up and completely spooked him as he released it. Normally I'm not one of those guys that gets into "Oh, he was in his head all game" but in this case I think it has some merit. Young's wicked hops caused Harris to alter his shot and it ended up hitting the top of the backboard.
- Eddie Jordan injecting Powerthirst into everyone's hands today. The Wiz had 11 steals and lots of pass deflections throughout the game.
- Caron Butler with the 4 by 5 today (25 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals, 5 assists).
