Regular Season Game 64
Hornets (28-36) at Wizards (35-28)
Verizon Center
7 PM
CSN
Previous Results: Hornets 104, Wizards 97.
Without Caron Butler, the Wizards take on the NOOCH in their last home game before a pivitol 5 game road trip.
They may have played the Hornets earlier in the year, but it's an entirely different team. Chris Paul, despite having a stress fracture in his foot that will require offseason surgery, is back, along with power forward David West, who is basically a younger version of Antawn Jamison. That's the bad news. The good news is that the Hornets played a really tough game in New York last night, winning 92-90 in the final seconds. They'll probably be tired, and the Wizards, who haven't played Wednesday, will probably be fresh.
Even without Caron Butler tonight, the Wizards absolutely need this one. Their road games are against mediocre Western Conference teams, but it's hard to sweep any road trip. If they get a win tonight, they'll have breathing room from Miami, who pulled into a tie for the division lead with yesterday's 103-97 win over Sacramento.
