Center Etan Thomas will return to the Washington Wizards for Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls after missing a month with a sprained left ankle.
Thomas practiced Tuesday for the second consecutive day.
"He's in shape. He's got his wind," coach Eddie Jordan said, adding that Brendan Haywood will start at center against Chicago.
Very good. It's become clear that this is the way it should be. Thomas' return will bolster the bench, but Jordan correctly doesn't use his personal vendetta against Haywood as an excuse to bench him.
I'm guessing we'll see a similar arrangement to the platoon we saw earlier in the year, but hopefully that will occur with slightly more minutes for Haywood. That is, of course, unless he's traded.
