It's too early to say I told you so

But,

Arthur stood out in his pro debut, scoring 18 points on 9-for-12 shooting.

Something tells me McGee won't come close to 18 points in one game until maybe NEXT year's summer league. Oh well. Oh, and isn't that Chalmers kid doing alright? Dee Brown is a decent signing, but comeon!

I'm happy that we kept Gil and AJ, but EG gets a C- for the rest of the offseason so far. (I know, plenty of room under the cap to make one more move. I'm just evaluating things as I see them right now.)

Nick Young could be ... D-Wade?

From an ESPN Insider (requires subscription) article advising rookies on which vet to emulate:

Young might be almost as talented as Wade (the healthy version), combining slashing with a deep- and mid-range scoring game. But he's often floating around the perimeter or settling for jumpers when, like Wade, he could beat most defenders off the dribble and get to the rack for the bucket or foul. His problem is very typical for young players, but some never ditch the habit.

Interesting comparison, though NY needs to bulk up a little to avoid getting blocked or pushed away once he gets into the trees. I definitely agree that NY needs to start taking the ball to the hole with a vengeance - once he does that, the open jumpers will come. - Update [2008-3-26 10:18:3 by Icantfeelmyface]: No subscription required - article is a free preview.
