On hype, fan involvement and John Wall's introductory event Friday

Why the cynicism expressed by several media members about John Wall's introduction event misses the point.

Wizards acquire Wall, Hinrich, Seraphin, Booker and Ndiaye

The selection of John Wall by itself would have been enough to generate enough reaction to fill out a post and then some. Adding in two trades to net three more picks and a veteran? Yep, that will...

And So It Begins...

To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time JaVale McGee and John Wall have made contact with one another. Hopefully, this is the start of a beautiful relationship, full of alley-oops and...

John Wall workout impressions: He loves basketball

Even with John Wall, re-signing Shaun Livingston should be a high priority

As I understand it, there are two major arguments against keeping Shaun Livingston this summer: 1.  With John Wall at point guard and Gilbert Arenas coming back, we don't need Shaun anymore. 2....

John Wall Doin' Work

CSN Washington has some video of John Wall working out as he prepares to be drafted. You might want to stand back from your keyboard once you hit the play button. Slobber takes an incredibly long time to dry out of one's keyboard.

Mike Miller told me with the Wizards landing the number one pick it changes everything. He would love to play with John Wall calling him a shooters dream.

via Chris Miller Note that Mike said John Wall is a shooter's dream, not that he dreams of being a shooter. That's an important distinction.

Arenas, according to sources, has spoken with John Wall since the Wizards landed the No. 1 pick in last week's draft lottery, and is confident that the two can play together. The drafting of Wall likely will force Arenas out of the point guard spot and over to shooting guard, which many believe is his more natural position anyway. Although Arenas was suspended, Flip Saunders late this past season added a new wrinkle to his already extensive offense, and expects to feature more of a two-guard attack rather than his typical point-guard-initiated schemes. Saunders said in April that the new look relieves some of the pressure on the point guard and also gives the team flexibility having two guards sharing ball-handling and facilitating duties. It also could have been a "just in case" experiment to see how things would look if Washington were to either land the top pick, or feature Arenas and Shaun Livingston together this season. Obviously, the Wizards did land that pick.
