Since he performed so abysmally last year, it's hard to justify McGuire playing 700 minutes again this year. But with Washington bringing back largely the same cast, I suppose it's conceivable that McGuire could again see action as an "energy" guy off the pine, especially if Oleksiy Pecherov can't get untracked. On the other hand, one has to imagine there are several better players trolling around in the D-League, and if McGuire's play doesn't improve perhaps the Wizards will realize that, too.
