Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Open thread: Regular season game 61

Apologies for not posting an official Magic recap, but my week has been beyond hectic preparing my newspaper reporters to cover this game (and this game too).  In case you hadn't deduced, my school (Brandeis) is in both the men's and women's NCAA Division III tournament this weekend (with the men playing at home), so it's been a struggle, since I edit the newspaper sports section.

Consider this your thread for tonight's game against the Raptors.  Lines are Toronto by 5.5 and 193.5 on the over/under.  Before I open the thread, some quick links.

This is an open game thread, so say it's "NOT POSSIBLE" here.

GO WIZARDS!

Well the last time I got excited about someone not playing was when Yao was out and we all know how that turned out. But nonetheless I think our bunch of 'flash in the pan nobodies' will prevail. We won't have two bad games in a row (i hope) -Wiz , under.

Shouldn't have been drinking when I read this prediction, I almost choked -

Tom: Jeff Corwin is ejected from the arena for attempting to dart and kidnap Chris Bosh for the upcoming Animal Planet special, "Great Lizards of North America."

Wizards, w/o Bosh I think we've got a good shot in this one.  I hope.

The Jeff Corwin line was epic.

I'd really like to see the Wizards take one from the Raptors sans Bosh, especially following their last performance in Toronto.

that game was satisfying like a big meal
Despite a lot of uncharacteristic turnovers, the Wiz  pulled it out.  Great defense on the last possession.  Mason hit a few huge threes at the end of the fourth.  Haywood didn't really get off the bench, but that seems to be Eddie's MO when the other team isn't playing a big man a lot.

Very encouraging
Love what the Wizards did on the boards tonight. I still don't understand how they overcame the turnovers, but I'll take it. Great contributions from the bench tonight, too.
