No Kwame on Sunday
Lakers get Gasol.  Grizzlies get Kwame, Jarvaris Crittenton and 2 first round picks.

The Grizzlies are never going to be good enough to trigger that conditional first round pick for the Wizards.  I bet JCN is pissed to miss his buddy.

Question
Will Gasol be available to play against the Wizards on Sunday?

I'm not sure -
Don't traded players have to pass physicals as well before being allowed to join the team? Or am I making that up? ESPN still has it is as a reported story and that the Lakers still have more to do before it can be a done deal so I'm hoping he won't be able to play Sunday.

even if
the players might were available, the teams would be INSANE to play them. 1) Why would the players give a f*** since they are going to another team 2) What if a player suffers a season ending injury?

sorry
I misread the comments. Obviously we are talking about Gasol and the Lakers playing the Wiz on Sunday. There is usually a several day delay after atrade so I'm pretty optimistic we won't have to worry about Gasol.

DeShawn an All-Star?
Well, no, but Dave Berri at Wages of Wins makes the case that Stevenson is more productive that Atlanta's Joe Johnson, who is an All-Star.
"Now, obviously individual production does not unilaterally equal better team production, but there's a high level of causation."
