Butler and Jamison both headed to New Orleans

It's official ladies and gentlemen, Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison are headed to the 2008 All-Star Game.  Both will be making their second appearance in the game, Jamison made it in '05 and Butler was on the team last year.  I don't think anyone is going to disagree that both are very deserving of the honor (especially not here).  You can see all the reserves who made it this year by heading over here.

This almost makes up for keeping Nick Young out of the Dunk Contest and the Rookie/Sophmore Game.  Almost.

All-Star 08
Congratulations on the two All-Star berths. They're well-deserved.

Also, thanks for posting the greatest All-Star logo ever. I had forgotten how awesome that one is.

Personally...
I think we'd have been better off if they had both been snubbed. That way, we go into the second half with two rested, chip-on-their-shoulder beasts (not to mention a possible Gilbert and Etan return). But there's no denying both deserved it. Looks like Jamison bumped Turgolu out. I really hope that doesn't come back to bite us down the line in the form of a buzzer-beating, back-breaking, dagger-stabbing, heart-wrenching, Ruffin-to-Mo Pete-to-Anthony Parker type 3-jack.

Jamison might have knocked Turkoglu out
But that doesn't mean they can't get angry at Joe Johnson! (A notion I'd agree with, by the way)

Re: Personally...
No, Jamison is more deserving than Turkoglu. It's Johnson I'm most pissed about. Calderon should be there instead of him. I don't know. Johnson and Wade absolutely don't deserve to be All-Stars.

NICE!
I love getting some recognition for 2 players who have played their asses off this season. This is the best rebounding and defense out of Twan since he has became a wizards. Butler's game is on a whole new level and I would like to see him touch the ball every possession in the last few minutes of close games.

I was surprised not to see Drew Gooden on the list, dude averages like 30 every time I watch him play the Wizards. He must really suck in the other games! :)

What? They don't have TV in the D-League? Don't watch me, watch TV.

How Many Teams...
...can say that they sent two players to the All-Star Game, and neither one was their best player?  With these All-Star selections, that give Antawn and Caron two each to go along with Gilbert's three appearances.  That's a total of seven All-Star appearances among the Wizard's starting five when healthy.  Not a whole lot of teams can say that either, I'd bet.

Best player
Caron is better than Gilbert. Period.

Caron is easily our best allaround player.

weird leave-offs
How the heck did Ray Allen not make it(See ya later Joe Johnson)? And how the heck did Baron Davis not make it (See ya later David West)?

Wow, awesome that our boys made it though. Especially Caron, he's at an all-nba 2nd team level so him being left out of New Orleans wouldve been HORRIBLE.

Ray Allen is having his worst season ever
His only legitimacy is the Celtics hype.  I'd replace Johnson with Hedo or Jose Calderon.

B-Diddy is debatable, but I think West was deserving.  You'd have to replace Roy to think about putting B-Diddy on the team.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
