i tuned in to see the wizards fall to 11 behind and then come back and send it to OT - where they predictably didn't get it done.

they didn't deserve to win the game last night.

my observations:

milwaukee pressed and went zone with a three guard set and the wizards offense appeared to consist solely of:
   1 - struggle to get the ball across half court,
   2 - fail to get into the offense until half the shot clock has run down,
   3 - pass the ball around the three point line, and
   4 - jack up a jumper with the shot clock running down (with no one in place to rebound because brendan was flashing in the high post and the other four guys were on the three point line).

their defense consisted of:
   1 - getting lost on screens and giving up open looks,
   2 - inexplicably dropping off a hot shooter to double-team bogut (with haywood on him), then rotating slowly and giving up a wide open look,
   3 - giving up long offensive rebounds when milwaukee did miss.

eddie jordan decided to play songaila for long stretches at center which predictably didn't work, and jamison disappeared down the stretch when he decided he was more of a threat to attack the zone by hanging out around the three point line all 4th quarter.

milwaukee played hard and scrapped. wizards didn't play smart or well. result = bad loss for the wiz.

this is one of those games i wished i hadn't tuned in for.

I switched off also and returned to find us only 5 down. Stuck with them the rest of the way.
After each game, we'll all need to post our own personal plus/minus for the minutes we were actually watching. Those with the most negative will be banned from watching live.

We sleepwalked through last nights game, I was also EXTREMELY dissapointed in the effort. Listen, we are NOT the Spurs or the Celtics. We cant just come into a game and think because its the Bucks and they arent very good and on top of that theyre without Redd that we can just sleepwalk through and win the game. So in that sense Im happy that we lost and didnt get away with it, because if we got away with it and won the game maybe they would end up doing it again. Hopefully it never happens again and they learn their lesson making last night the last time it happens.

Caron was the only player I saw playing hard the whole way through last night. The lack of effort, hustle and hard work was very very very dissapointing. I REALLY REALLY hope if never happens again. I dont care what Milwaukees record is, or if theyre without their best player, or that we've beaten WAY better teams in route to 23-13 since the 0-5 start including blowing out the Bucks in that time........ WE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO SLEEPWALK THRU GAMES AND GET AWAY WITH IT AGAINST NBA TEAMS, WE ARE NOT THE CELTICS PISTONS SUNS OR SPURS.......... we are a Blazer/Cavaliers/Raptors/Rockets/Nuggets/Magic/etc level team, so WE HAVE TO PLAY HARD AND WITH URGENCY EVERY NIGHT to get where we want to be (4-seed).

Haywood getting lit up by Bogut even worse than he did by Arenas didnt help either, lack of effort from him especially on defense was very concerning. Antonio and Deshawns lack of effort, and THE BENCH'S LACK OF EFFORT ESPECIALLY pissed me off, they came in the game you could CLEARLY see that they didnt come to play as they got demolished while giving up our lead. Dammit, last night was extremely dissapointing....... I can deal with getting beat but not because of a lack of effort, that was terrible..... couldve went to 6 games over .500 before this tough stretch of games up til the allstar break (8 very good opponents and 2 bad teams), we missed an opportunity because we thought we could just show up and win, but we needed to learn I guess so hopefully that teaches us a lesson..... so terrible.....  

Getting beat down by Royal Ivey, Michael Ruffin, Charlie Bell and Awvee Storey all because of our lack of effort and sense of entitlement was VERY VERY VERY VERY dissapointing.
