OT: Kobe Wants Out
Editor's Note: From the diaries. Because no NBA blog worth it's weight would not have a Kobe Bryant thread on the main page. For what it's worth, I don't think he'll be traded, and this will all be a smokescreen. Then, the Lakers will sign Jarvis Hayes for the mid-level exception, proclaim they're a better team, and proceed to go 30-52 next season in the improved Western Conference. Okay, maybe I'm dreaming on the last part.
This brings up an interesting discussion. What would you trade to get Kobe Bryant? Let's not even discuss real possibilities, because it's a) not happening, and b) the Wizards have no way to match salaries with their lack of assets. But in lieu of all that, how much is too much to give for Kobe? -Pradamaster.
As you may or may not have heard by now, the whole Jerry West situation has blown up to the point where Kobe has asked for a trade. Personally, I think he's bluffing but like most of my predictions, I'm probably wrong on this one. So consider this the place where to speculate where you think he could end up. As always look at the primer before posting your ideas. Also, if you want to talk about the irony of the quote at the bottom of the picture, scanned from an ESPN the Magazine article back in 2004, you can do that here too.
