Lost among all the hubbub of media day was the fact that Etan Thomas wasn't there because he had to attend to a "personal matter." Well it looks like we know what that personal matter was. Dave Johnson has been live-blogging the Wizards at training camp and this is what he found out:
I have just received word that Etan Thomas has not been cleared to play. He was not at media day yesterday and has not been at practice this morning. Team President Ernie Grunfeld reports that Thomas --during a routine team physical had a cardiac test that revealed an irregularity.
Johnson later reported that they will have to do more tests before they know his status. Let's hope this is nothing serious.
