The Western Conference
where every team is above average.

I haven't crunched the numbers but I'm pretty confident that every team in the west can't be 15 games over 500. Gotta love the optimism though. Looks like JCN is good for an added 15 wins for Memphis too!

This is nothing
Compared to last year's optimism.

http://nbapreviews.wordpress.com/

Only two teams were predicted to have losing seasons.  The Phily blogger predicted they'd win 47 games (keep in mind, this is before the AI trade).  Memphis was predicted to win 45, Charlotte 42, one Boston blogger picked 48, Sacramento was picked to have 50, and so forth.

Full disclosure: I predicted last year's Wiz would win 50 games.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

Well ...
We were on pace to win 50 games as late as the All-Star break, and as much as people dismiss the fact that we briefly led the Eastern Conference, we put up wins against the Suns (in Phoenix), Dallas, Detroit and other top teams. I don't think 50 wins was a big stretch for the Wiz, although obviously stuff comes up that dashes such dreams. I'm saying 50 again this year (then DeShawn won't be the only Mister Fitty).
"Now, obviously individual production does not unilaterally equal better team production, but there's a high level of causation."
