Open Thread: Midseason thoughts

The Wizards haven't officially completed the first half of their season until after tomorrow's game against the Suns, but to kick off this week's mid-season festivities here on Bullets Forever (which will hopefully include report cards, awards, and potentially an interview or two), I'd like to know what you guys think of the season thus far.

The Wizards are in first place in the Eastern conference, and are on a 49-33 pace, but despite the winning, not everything is perfect. There's always room for improvement.

What's your take on the way the season has gone thus far? Any and every opinion is welcome. Just be sure to post your comment in this thread.

Fire away!

The Wizards are very, very good.  They're doing a lot of things better this year, even when they're not on the top of their game they've shown the capability to gut out wins which will pay dividends.  While I don't think the Wizards are there yet as far as talking about championship contention but then again we've also been without Songaila who should take the Wizards to a higher level.  If the Wizards can put it all together when April rolls around, anything is possible and I mean ANYTHING.  And if anyone comes and points out how the Wizards defense has struggled I will gladly point them to this:

Then again, I'm kind of on a optimistic binge right now.

Wizards NBA champs?
i agree with jake, the Wiz showed great character to blow a big lead and still win the game in OT, and they showed great character too in some of the other close games and this will certainly pay dividends when it comes playoff time, where teams have to grind it out

first of all..
being able to post a whole YouTube in the comments is the highlight of this midseason heh

But I feel the Wiz are onto something special here. I know the biggest beef is their inability to shut out weakling teams like they mean business, but that's what the 2nd half of the season is for (as in, they learn from it...hopefully)

Hey, I'm banking on a Eastern Conference Finals for these pimps, a special shirt for Agent Steinz is riding on it!
