Look at what David Thorpe said about Blatche in chat on ESPN today...
*Noah (Lafayette, CA)*: David u rock! Who is the most underachieving and or overachieving person in the NBA?David Thorpe [12:18 PM] : Blatche gets my underachieving award. He should be an MVP candidate...
What a game last night!
I was at the Wizards game last night, just wanted to say it was an awesome experience. Haven't been to a pro basketball game in a while, as I'm more of a football fan, but I was so happy I got to go. What a game too! Wizards tore apart the Hawks.
Quick Hitters (Wiz v. 76ers)
1) Did Flip Saunders really use the Hinrich trade as an excuse for the poor play of this team tonight? Wow. 2) John Wall said all the right things in his post game interview. He basically called out some players on the team for their lack of effort. Good for you John.
You know whats REALLY weird?
You guys know the game that Young recently had 43 points and carried our team? Well his +/- is only +2.... what's that supposed to mean?
Just coined Blatche's new nickname
"Count Blatcheula" I know, I know. It's great...Just remember where you got it from when you go start saying all over town
Bulls fan with a soultion to your recent controversy
I really like Gil, always have.
That said, it sounds like you guys need a high character guy or 2. I would like to introduce you to Kirk Hinrich and Luol Deng. They aren't particularly good at umm what's it called ... basketball, but your mothers would really like them. Please trade for them.
I miss Oleksiy
Anyone else following Oleksiy out in Minny? He's starting to look like a first round pick, and was a beast against Boston last night. Too bad the Wizards never really gave him a chance in DC, but player development hasn't been their strong suit.
Gortat?!
Should we aggressively try to trade for Marcin Gortat, one of the best young centers in the NBA? Clearly, we need a new big man...
J.A. Adande's chat on ESPN.com
dave, dc: As a former bullets beat man do you think abe polin's legacy will be basically making his franchise the clippers of the east, firing michael jordan or building the verizon center with his money and basically saving that part of the citySportsNation J.A. Adande: Someone has a long memory...my bullets beat days were 12 years ago! But I think Pollin's legacy should be that he built TWO arenas in the DC area, the second one in the city limits and revitalized an area into a vibrant place where once there was nothing but empty row houses. Every owner (yeah you, Clay Bennett, and all you NFL barons) who begs cities to fund their stadiums should look at what Pollin did, apologize, then shut up.
