Interesting to see them getting a team. This could be a blueprint to how the Wizards should handle having a D-League team.
Today on ZardCast, the guys convene on the eve of the Washington Wizards season opener to answer a number of predictive questions and preview the rest of the Eastern Conference. Plus: John Wall giving up Gummi Bears, spending a day with Randy Wittman, beef with the Fowl Shot, Otto Porter Vines, "The Milwaukee Zone" and plenty of trash talk.
Here's some national love from the four letters giving Wall some serious props. I disagree with his take on Sessions though.
...and Roy Hibbert is a bitch. That's why he got bitch slapped!
In honor of Moses Malone's time with the Bullets, here's a game from 1987 against the Chicago Bulls and a young Michael Jordan. Note that Malone gets doubled on virtually every possession.
Wow. Not sure anyone saw that coming. And how about Erik Murphy of Finland ? Maybe some NBA team gives him another look. He was a late 2nd round pick in the 2013 draft that went to Chicago but didn't stick. He was one of many late picks that year I was hoping the Wizards would look at along with Jeff Withey, Pierre Jackson, Mike Muscala, Erick Green, and Ryan Kelly. Sadly, we ended up with Glen Rice. In a league looking for S4s, someone should give him a chance. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Erik-Murphy-5273/
The Belgian Lions are 51st in the world's men's team rankings while the Lithuanians are 4th. Head Coach Eddy Casteels openly said that they would only have "one chance in one hundred" to beat them. Now, they just beat the Group D favorites. They face Tomas Satoransky and the Czech Republic next on Wednesday.
