We've been watching this guy for 4 years now, but these plays never get old.
So to review: -No David West -No George Hill -No C.J. Watson -No Paul George (obviously) -And now no Rodney Stuckey
New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith has been suspended one game without pay for striking Washington Wizards guard Glen Rice Jr. in the groin, it was announced today by Rod Thorn, President, Basketball Operations. The incident occurred with 5:45 remaining in the fourth quarter of Washington’s 98-83 win over New York on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Madison Square Garden.
via NBA press release Here's the play, if you missed it last night. Also, just as a reminder, Rice Jr. was the one charged with the foul on the play."We owe them. They came last year to Washington, beat us three times and basically took our playoffs away so we owe them. Now we got to get it, especially at home. That’s something we’re trying to establish right now. That’s our home now so nobody is going to come and beat us. If you’re going to beat us you’re going to have to leave some blood on the ground. So that’s what we’re trying to do."
Wizards’ Kevin Seraphin wants to beat the Pacers ‘really bad’ - Washington Post Granted, it won't be quite the same with Paul George on the shelf and Lance Stephenson in Charlotte, but a win at home against the Pacers would have a certain cathartic effect for Wizards fans. Also, it looks like Kevin Seraphin has been listening to Paul Pierce in the locker room.Part of a huge third quarter for Washington as they outscore the Knicks 32-15.
Yes, we realize it's still very early in the season, but Trevor Booker has already made more threes this season for the Jazz (5) than he made during his entire tenure as a Wizard (1, which came on this shot to beat the clock vs. the Lakers). (Thanks to @wizkidforever4 for the tip on this one.)
This is your occasional reminder that Gilbert Arenas is still getting NBA checks, even though he hasn't played a game since May 13, 2012.
Great catch by Steve Noah (aka @Steve_OS) on this very stanky mean mug John Wall gave to Jerryd Bayless after he blocked his shot. Bonus points to Wall for catching the ball and gaining possession for the Wiz.
