The Washington Wizards and the Miami Heat kick off their respective 2016-17 NBA seasons against one another Tuesday night, and both have relatively new looks.
The Wizards have a new coach at the helm in Scott Brooks, and saw the departure and arrival of few different pieces. Will Washington rebound after finishing .500 and missing the playoffs last season? Will their young players do work in the preseason? We’ll start to get answers to those questions Tuesday night
Meanwhile down south, the Heat have 20 roster spots filled, with 10 of them being completely new faces from last season. They will be beginning this season without an active All-Star for the first time in the Pat Riley era, now that Dwyane Wade is in Chicago and Chris Bosh is still out due to ongoing blood clot issues.

Injury Report
Scott Brooks announced after practice on Monday that John Wall would not play in the preseason opener. Marcus Thornton is also out.
Josh McRoberts, Josh Richardson, and Stefan Jankovic are all out for Tuesday’s game, along with Chris Bosh, who is out indefinitely. Beno Udrih is questionable with a tight back.
Most Likely Wizards Killer: Dion Waiters
After settling for a small, two-year deal with the Heat over the summer, you can bet Waiters won’t waste any time trying to make teams regret their decision not to give him a look in free agency. It’s anyone guess whether or not it will work, but hey, he’ll definitely get up shots.
