Wizards veteran swingman Alan Anderson signed with the team last summer as a free agent. Unfortunately, he hasn't played a game yet this season due to an ankle injury. He had surgery on October 13 to repair the damage.
Fortunately, he is getting close to returning. According to Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post, Anderson intends on beginning on-court activities on Wednesday. He is expected to make his season debut around the middle of this month,
This is definitely welcome news for the Wizards because there isn't much depth at the small forward position. Otto Porter will take most of the minutes as the starter, but Jared Dudley is playing and starting at power forward. Rookie Kelly Oubre is not ready for regular minutes yet, and the Wizards waived Martell Webster earlier this week.
