Just hear me out, with the new additions during free agency and the current roster I believe Pierce could be a better spark off the bench. The Wizards had one of the worst benches last year as far as scoring goes. There were too many times where Beal would stay in the games with the "AARP UNIT" and extend his MPG way beyond what we would initially want him to play. The starting 5 with John at the point play a faster tempo than obvisouly with the second unit with Miller at the point. Miller slows the game down with the second unit in which I think Pierce would benfit more from. Here is my propsed depth chart for the start of the season:
1.Wall / Miller / Temple
2.Beal / Rice / Webster
3.Porter/ Pierce / ???
4.Nene / Humphries / Blair
5. Gortat / Gooden/ Seraphin
Pierce could certaninly start but to get the most out of our roster I beleive he would be better suited to be out 6th man. His min are better managed, and he wouldnt have to take the big role of guarding the the starting SF at tip off (Lebron, KD, PG etc).
How would you guys use Pierce?
