Ed Davis Should Follow His Dad's Footsteps And Become A Wizard.

Ed Davis' NBA career has stalled a bit since leaving Carolina and being traded from Toronto to Memphis, but I think he would be a good potential free-agent pick up this summer. Memphis can offer him a new contract since he is a restricted free agent, but they are also running the franchise very cheaply and may want to keep Zach Randolph. If the wizards gave Davis a decent offer of say three years $15 million, I do not think that Memphis would match.

Davis is 6-11, is only 24 years old, and is pretty good on the defensive end. I think he would be a great third big even if we re-sign Marcin Gortat. Our other young bigs would be allowed to walk, since I believe that Davis can give us a solid 25 minutes per night as a backup third big man. Thoughts?
