Would you be willing to trade Nene and Otto for one year of Kevin Love -- with the presumption that you get extra value out of it by spending that year proving to him, up close, why he should sign an extension with the Wizards?
The T'wolves get a talented, team-first PF under team control for two more years (rather than the single year left on Love's deal before his opt-out), plus a high-upside rookie with a team-friendly four years left on his deal.
Isn't that a better deal for the T'wolves than, say, the Lakers offering their 1st-round pick (anywhere from No. 1 to, at worst, No. 9) in this year's draft, plus flotsam?
