So just saw this really funny commercial by Foot Locker and Damian Lillard:
Lol, it's pretty funny, esp. Karl Malone in the end.
We've all seen what commercials can do for a player's reputation, esp. with Kyrie Irving making the AllStar game as starter, when clearly his play and team's record didn't warrant it (John Wall should have started, and Lowry should have taken Kyrie's spot)...but you can't argue with Kyrie's commercials, they're pretty funny and good.
John's only commercial lately that I can remember is the best buy one...
I don't think John's the joker type, he's got more of a Kobe seriousness...as it seems from his off court appearances/interviews. Nevertheless I'm sure if John's pr people were creative enough, he could find a niche.
Overall coming in John was one of the most electrifying prospects to come out of the college ranks since, well since as long as I can remember (the john wall dance was big), but overall his advertising/commercialization really hasn't lived up to what people thought could be tops at the next level.
So hopefully, along with his improving game, and playoff appearance this year, we can see more of John's impact at the advertising level.
