The more I get away from the Kings collapse the more angry I am getting about this loss to a substandard team.
They simply must beat teams below average teams down the stretch. That leaves a few teams - Lakers (I will be at this game), Nuggets, Boston (twice), Hawks, Bobcats (twice), Orlando, Knicks and Milwaukee. That's 10 games. Now, sure they could lose a few of those games. But anything below 8-2 against these teams will not get it done.
The Lakers will be tough coming off a back-to-back. The Nuggets are always tough in the altitude and just beat the Clippers. The Hawks and Bobcats look like playoff teams (with the Knicks making a run).
Since Feb. 1, the Wizards have only 2 bad losses (Cleveland and this Kings debacle). You could throw in the Charlotte loss but they are a decent team.
But there are no excuses in making a playoff run. There is no tomorrow. I don't want to hear excuses e.g. no Nene, they are hitting the wall, blah blah blah. They must win the majority of these games.
Excuses are like a-holes. Everybody has them. And they all stink.
