Its not how you start, its how you finish...

This has got to be the motto for the Wizards in the final stretch of the regular season. Im really hoping John, Nene, Randy or anybody just steps up and calls a mini team meeting to get everyone on the same page and stress the urgency of there still being an opportunity to play even better basketball and move up the standings.

All yesterday I was kinda day dreaming about us having a strong finish and actually going 20-10 in the last stretch. Before even looking at the schedule I wondered what if we could do something crazy and finish out 25-5. While in my fantasy land I even visualized all the headlines about how this team has taken the step and looked like a force going into the playoffs. LOL

Back to reality, I jumped online and checked out the schedule. Of the 30 games remaining only 11 games are against teams above .500. Of those 11 teams we play Toronto(3 times), Atlanta and Chicago. We play MIA twice and one will be the 2nd to last game of the season which we can pretty much guarantee starters wont be playing. The Pacers and Blazers are the only teams on contender status records wise. And we have 1 game each against the Suns and the Grizzlies.

The next 5 games should really set the tone of what were gonna do. TOR, ATL, NO, CLE, ORL, TOR. In my eyes if we don't walk out of this 5 game stretch 4-2, we underachieved.

If we played our best basketball I don't see why we couldn't go 25-5. There are 15 home game and 15 away games. With our reputation home and away games really don't mean much. Of course everything isn't gonna go as planned so I could definitely foresee us losing by 2 to Utah and then beating the Blazers by 2.

Of course 25-5 is a pipe dream but 20-10 would be nice to see from this squad. Walking into the playoffs playing our best ball...

So I pose a question... How strong do you all think we will finish the season?
