High Score for Point Guard and Loss for Team

I have noticed that in some games, even in playoffs, we sometimes see games where the point guard scores a ridiculous amount of points but the team loses. Think Rondo, Game 5 or 6, vs. Heat or Westbrook 2 years ago. Last nights game vs. Sacromento, it happened to the Kings. Thomas breaks out for 30 points but Kings lose and never took the lead.

The simple answer to this association, is that the PG should get all of the teammates involved and if he takes on most of the scoring he is not setting everyone up.

Just curious to see if there are stats that back this up. In games that don't go into OT, where PG score 30+, while taking at least 20 shots, how often does the team win? Also does that mean that the opposing defense is doing a great job handling everyone else but the PG?
