Is Jan Vesley Nearing an Inflection Point ... Up?

Vesley's recent play on defense has been a big boost to the team. Historically he has been good about tipping the ball on offensive rebounds and trying to keep it in play but now we are seeing more. On defense, he is switching more effectively, tracking the ball from behind, challenging shots that make it more difficult for the shooter and more importantly, managing his fouls. Offensively, he took some jumpers! That never use to happen! Pair that with his normal dunking ability and wait a minute, we might have something ...

If he continues his defensive progress and gets comfortable with some post moves and develops a strong 15-20 feet or less jump shot, how cool would that be? Having said all that, this is very low sample size and could be just another fleeting tease. But then again, big men take longer to develop.

What do you think? Is the Vesley moving on up?
