Blatche and McGee to Play for Philippines National Team!

In perhaps the greatest Bullets-related story ever, the Philippines is trying to naturalize both JaVale McGee and Andray Blatche as citizens so they can play for their national basketball team! Apparently, the Philippines is absolutely basketball-crazy and-- I don't know-- maybe there are a lot of Wizards fans over there.

Incredibly, this is the second attempt to naturalize McGee. More incredibly, Blatche wants to be known by the moniker "Young Seymour" and claims to be half-Filipino! (Joe Johnson heard this and called BS; it's in the article).

Sadly, FIBA rules permit only one naturalized player per team to participate in a given tournament so Pierre and Seymour will never see the court together. Even so, the comedic potential remains high. If the Philippines could some how incorporate Swaggy P and Steez into this mix, I'd die a happy man...

Anyway, here's the link to the article. This is too incredible to make up... do we have any Filipino BF'ers who can add clarity to this situation??
