Wizards vs. Clippers preview: Can Washington do it again?

USA TODAY Sports

One win against an elite Western Conference opponent is nice. Another could be the start of something sweet.

The Wizards can't possibly top last night, right? At this point, I really have no idea. Coming off an incredible 88-85 win over the Warriors in Oakland, Washington has (another) chance to get above .500, this time at Staples Center against Blake Griffin and the Clippers.

Will it happen? Frankly, nobody knows, since the optimism pouring out of #WizardsTwitter before last night's game wasn't exactly plentiful. And yet, here we are, gushing about Bradley Beal, reading posts on ESPN that positively compare John Wall to Steph Curry.

These are the 2013-14 Wizards. We have no idea what to expect of them.

Where and When? The game starts at 10:30 p.m. ET from Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Are they good? Well, they've kept pummeling opponents even after replacing the league's best point guard with Darren Collison, so they're probably better than good. When the Clips are running on all cylinders, few teams in this league are less fun to play.

Who's out? Al Harrington remains sidelined, but that's nothing new. Following the recall of Glen Rice Jr. from Iowa on Tuesday, he'll presumably be suited up again for this one. As for the Clippers, they're still without Chris Paul as he recovers from a separated shoulder. Still hasn't slowed the team down, though.

What are they good at? Scoring points; this is the No. 3 offense in the league, per NBA.com, even after weeks without CP3. They try to do stuff like this:

What are they bad at? Their determination to get into transition at all times leaves the Clippers pretty susceptible on the glass. That's somewhat by design, though.

Who's going to win? We know which team is better, but predicting the Wizards is like trying to explain "Lost" to someone. Nobody knows what the heck is going on anymore.
