Imagine for a second that the Wizards played in the Western Conference. Transfer their record and you would see that they would be in 10th place and out of the playoffs. In fact, I would say they would most likely not even be close to making the playoffs in that brutal confererence. Would you be just as upbeat as you are today for the team? Now take a deeper look into their season so far. Against teams with at least a .500 record they are 2-10. That sucks, plain and simple. The Wizards do not have an All Star on their roster. Until the All Star Roster is announced and John Wall's name is announced do not expect John to get favorable referee calls. He hasn't earned it yet. We are all excited about Bradley Beal. He has alot of promise but until he stops getting hurt we may never know how good he can be. As for everyone else on the roster: Not one player excites me. They are all average or below average NBA players. Nene is the best of the bunch but Wittman has decided he is a better 6th man than starter. That should tell our fan base which direction in Nene's career he is heading too. Ariza and Gortat are playing for their next contract. I would not consider either one better than average. Heck, 99% of bulletsforever.com folks wanted Ariza's behind gone and traded away. Funny how a contract year can make you into the 3rd best player on the roster this year. I am not trying to depress our loyal Wizards base. We need better players to complement John and Bradley, especially a MAN in the front court. Thank God we are in the pathetic Eastern Conference where we may not only be able to win a first round series, but then we will have the pleasure of going out in 4 at Miami or Indiana. I'll be hoping that the first 3 picks in the draft go to Western Conference teams.
