Trade ideas: Improving 9 and 10

The Wizards have a solid starting 5 with John Wall, Bradley Beal, Trevor Ariza, Nene, and Marcin Gortat. I also like Temple as Wall's back up and Booker as the first big off the bench. Both of those guys do a good job of providing energy to help the team. Obviously, Martell Webster is nice off the bench.

That makes for a good 8 man rotation, but I would still like for the Wizards to improve and have 2 defined units (starters and back ups). Here are two trades that I think can help.

Trade 1:

Wizards trade: Eric Maynor and Chris Singleton

Bucks trade: Gary Neal

Bucks Reasoning: Reports state that the Bucks are willing to do anything to get rid of Gary Neal. This gets the Bucks out of a deal they don't like and gives them two young guys on short contracts to help their rebuild.

Wizards Reasoning: With Temple being Wall's primary back up point guard, there is no longer a need for Eric Maynor. The Wizards are already a good 3 point shooting team so adding another shooter like Neal can help. It will also improve the bench scoring.

Trade 2:

Wizards trade: Otto Porter and a 2015 second round pick round pick

Pistons trade: Greg Monroe

Pistons Reasoning: Greg Monroe is in the last year of his contract. They already have Andre Drummond and Josh Smith in their front court and would be better off with a young wing. Otto Porter may remind them of another former Piston, Tayshaun Prince.

Wizards Reasoning: Trevor Ariza is playing well enough to earn another contract with the team. Wizards have a lot of bigs with expiring contracts and Monroe could fit with Wall and Beal.

These trades would give the Wizards a solid starting lineup and a solid bench. Monroe could also take over for Gortat next year.

Wizards potential roster:

PG: John Wall / Garrett Temple

SG: Bradley Beal / Gary Neal / Glen Rice Jr.

SF: Trevor Ariza / Martell Webster

PF: Nene / Trevor Booker / Jan Vesely / Al Harrington

C: Marcin Gortat / Greg Monroe / Kevin Seraphin
