A major point of contention for me in the NBA is teams overvaluing a players athletic capabilities and measurements and not giving nearly enuf importance to their basketball IQ or leadership or other intangibles like determination, craftiness, experience, etc. So many players get drafted early cuz they're 7ft. or because they run a 4.30 40yarder. Or can jump 40inches or their wingspan is 7ft+.
When we look at potential players that way we end up with the likes of Javale Mcgee or Kwame Brown or Jared Jefferies or Olieksiy Pecherov or Nick Young or Jan Vesely or ( i so hope not) Otto Porter. And thats just this teams first rounders over the past 14yrs. There are numerous others who just simply never got "it".
So i ask: Which players on the current team possess a Good-High Basketball IQ and Which possess a Poor-Low IQ.
