Should the Wiz have been more active in courting Dwight?


I ask because Zach Lowe (link below) thinks a few teams--the Wiz but especially the Bulls--should have tried to move heaven and earth (like the Warriors) to try. Now, I think there was little to no chance Dwight would come here, and I also think that there was little financial flexibility to make that happen.

But, with that said, the Wiz seem destined to be a competitive but not-seriously-contending team for the next several years. Instead of being happy with these positive steps, should they be more proactive to get a star?
