I travel frequently as part of my Day Job. I don't always like it. You miss the comforts of home: your wife, your kids, your DVR, your PS3. But it's my job, and when I'm working, I find a way to make it happen. In many ways, not having all the distractions of home makes it that much easier to focus on your work.
Thus, I wonder exactly what John Wall
is doing on the road, and why, exactly, it effects his shooting to such a dramatic degree. Look at his home/road splits
, then look at our home/road record.
I'm no Darryl Morey, but it doesn't take an advanced analytical background to tell you there's a direct correlation between Wall's shooting our team's horrible road record. In case you forgot, we were just 7-34 away from the sleepy confines of Verizon Center last year. Only the Bobcats
were worse. One of those 6 wins happened here. Ugggh.
If this team is going to the promised land, John's gotta be the one who carries us. I don't quite understand what John's doing on the road that makes him shoot such a worse (an embarassing .401
vs an All-World .484
clip at VC) percentage, but I'd like him to fix it, and fix it fast, because there will be no playoffs if we can't improve. No playoff team won less than 14 road contests last season. We've only won 19 since Wall arrived here.
We have to be at least a .333 club away from home to make the playoffs. John, might I recommend a Slingbox player, and fewer nights at Lapdance Tuesdays?!?
