Thunder Trade?

Just saw this on espn.com

Elsewhere, a source said Oklahoma City was interested in packaging its two first-round picks (Nos. 12 and 29) and Kendrick Perkins for a top-five pick. But the Thunder have had no takers either.

Why shouldn't this be an option for us? We pick up another vet that works hard and is perfect for the "culture change in dc" and move back in a draft where I personally don't love anyone. From there we could even try to possible package 29+ our two 2nd round picks and move up to the low teens. I know people are trying to move down from there. Am I right?
