The latest rumor by Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski is interesting given the Wizards' situation:
The more teams I talk to in the late 20's, the less enthusiasm I hear from any of them about keeping their draft picks.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) June 24, 2013
The Wizards, of course, have two second-round picks: No. 38 and No. 54. Ernie Grunfeld has publicly stated that the Wizards don't want three rookies on the roster next season. Put two and two together, and it seems like there might be an opportunity for the Wizards to package both second-round picks in an attempt to move into the first round.
Whether this is a good idea is a separate discussion, of course. Is there a huge difference between pick No. 27 and pick No. 38, especially when the former comes with a guaranteed contract? But if there's a player high on the Wizards' board that is slipping, it would be worthwhile to try to move up.
Should the Wizards move up? If so, for who?
