Whatever you do don't trade 2014 pick!!!!

Dave Telep, top basketball recruiting analyst in the country just tweeted this regarding the Celtics/Clippers trade: "Notice that the Clippers sent a 2015 first round draft pick. Nobody's trading away 2014 first rounders these days."

This guy is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to analyzing high school prospects and he, like most GMs have realized that you want in on that draft I don't care what moves we make, even trading away this year's pick, but by no means should we draft the 2014. If the Clippers know this we should as well. After reading the espn piece on the 2003 draft I'm even more convinced keeping the pick should be our strategy.(FYI In the piece is a little nugget by Carmelo Anthony to fuel those who think the lottery is rigged). Everyone thinks the draft is all about Wiggins but nobody would hype this draft as much as they have if he were the only potential all star. There are several future all stars and productive nba starters in this draft on down to the picks in the high 20s. You have to think because this crop of high school seniors are so good they will push some very good sophomores down the draft board. You might be able get a guy like Mitch McGary in the teens. Highly skilled 7 footers like Ike Austin in the bottom of the first round. Unheard of in most drafts.
