2013 Playoff Coulda-Woulda-Shoulda

Watching this Warrior team has been a ton of fun this postseason. Through them you see what is possible when a team drafts well. As I sit here watching you can't help but wonder what should have been in that 2011 (among others) draft. Klay Thompson would have been a nice pick as opposed to Vesely. You're never going to hit on all your picks, but you have to consistently get value from them -- meaning, at least a rotation player.

Can we achieve an evolution in terms of more consistent picks with Ernie as GM? Using history as our guide signs would seem to point to a resounding no. Simply put, he just doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes; a horrible characteristic for an executive making decisions that have such a lasting affect and impact on the health of your team and organization.

What does the community think on this? Do you feel we need to take a step back in order to go forward? The gist here being: do we need to have another poor season to get Ernie canned so as to prevent postponing the inevitable, or can we truly win with EG as the personel trigger man?

I want playoff basketball. I miss this excitement and these, in my opinion, are very avoidable mistakes that prevent us from the true, organic growth you need in order to have a bright future and truly change the fate of a floundering organization.

This city deserves a winner and if Ernie cannot make "winning" decisions as they pertain to the draft it's time his desk be filled by an individual that has proven he can with a track record that exemplifies the right decisions have been made in the past, and, as a result, will continue to be in the future.
