Oden to DC?

After reading Ben Standig's article on Greg Oden, it kind of hit me that this could be a good move with the addition of our draft pick. Oden (if healthy) could provide a low costing solution to all of the Cousin/Love/Monroe trade prospects which seem highly unlikely.

The 7 foot Oden would be a good addition to any roster, with the league running 3 guards and lacking legitimate big men this could put the Wizards at a serious advantage in the conference. No one can argue K Mart's or Bird man's output since being signed for playoff teams and just look at teams like the Bulls and Grizzlies who have supreme front court combinations that have led them to the playoffs. Why don't DC fans deserve that.

Now I'm definitely not saying Oden is Gasol or Noah, but if the eager big man could could average more than 9ppg and 7rpg (Career stats) that would be a great signing. I'm not talking unrealistically either, consider Wall's vision and passing ability paired with Greg's size and hunger to prove himself there's every reason to think he could average 14 and 10. With the addition of Porter at SF we may have a playoff contending 8 player rotation.

Wall, Beal, Porter, Nene, Okafor, Oden, Ariza, Seraphin.

Then we are left to upgrade our back up guards and forwards by the deadline.

What are your thoughts?
