Draft

So essentially I feel like the top 7 for the draft is set and us, Minnesota, Philly and Toronto (OKC's pick) are fighting for 8-11. These are some prospects that should be in range for us this year that I like that could be good fits.

Alex Len- skilled, athletic 7 footer. nice midrange shot, has post moves, has some nice potential defensively. Has been inconsistent but wasn't in a great situation at MD to display his talents. Is young for a sophomore also.

Glenn Robinson III- Long, super athletic 3, good rebounder, streaky shooter right now. Still raw but has a great amount of potential and would be a great fit alongside Beal and Wall.

Giannis Adetokoubo- 6' 10" point forward, Durant like body, super long, great handle, great passer, very smooth, decent shooter, enormous potential both defensively and offensively.

Steven Adams (just declared)- extremely raw as he just started playing basketball at the age of 15 and came from New Zealand. Great rebounder, very athletic, long, good motor, incredible potential especially defensively.

I didn't think Steven Adams was going to declare this year but I am very happy that he did. He is likely challenging Len now as the best center prospect in the draft now that Cauley-Stein is staying and right now is projected as a mid-1st rounder. I could see him easily jumping up draft boards as his potential is incredible, he will measure off the charts, and also there aren't many other legit center prospects. OKC with Toronto's pick will be looking to add a center and I hope to god we don't end up having a better record than them because we need a young C just like OKC.

These guys along with Shabazz (just read that he ranks 53rd in all prospects according to Kevin Pelton's formula for WARP), Cody Zeller, Plumlee, Olynyk, Saric, and Gobert I feel like will be in consideration for us with that 8-11 pick. In my opinion, Len, Robinson III, Adams and Adetokoubo (no particular order) should be at the top of our big board after Noel, Porter and Bennett (I don't see us having a shot at any of them) come draft day and are great fits for us position wise and also have incredible potential while also still being able to help us a bit next year (although our current roster allows us to have a prospect who may not necessarily be super-NBA ready). Steven Adams is very intriguing and he should be very, very high on our draft board in my opinion. Both him and Len would be in a great position to learn from Nene offensively and Emeka defensively and would be able to develop without huge pressure. Adetokoubo is extremely intriguing also and could be our SF of the future although I have no idea where he may land come draft day. Glenn Robinson III should be available (if he does declare) at our pick and he would be a really great fit for us and should definitely be higher than guys like Muhammad, Zeller, Plumlee and Olynyk on our big board.
