Nene, A.J. Price practice fully but remain gametime decisions

The Wizards hope to have both players available for Sunday's matchup against the 76ers.

Nene and A.J. Price both practiced fully Saturday but will be game-time decisions Sunday when the Washington Wizards face off against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to J. Michael of CSN Washington.

Nene scrimmaged with the team after practice, and even hit the winning jumper from 16 feet after getting the better of Kevin Seraphin on the defensive end, but afterwards ice was immediately wrapped around his aching right shoulder, which has kept him out the previous two games.

On Nene's chances to play Sunday, Wittman said:

"He was better (Friday) than he was (going into) Detroit. He did some conditioning and work today on the floor. He was better today than he was yesterday. Does that spell definitely he's going to play? I can't say that. We'll have to see after the work he put in today where we are tomorrow."

Price, who had been shooting well as of late backing up John Wall, missed Friday's loss to the New York Knicks with a right thigh contusion.

"He's been out on the floor, cardio, running, playing," Wittman said of Price's practice Saturday. "We'll have to evaluate him tomorrow, too."

Trevor Booker and Chris Singleton have both gotten a start in Nene's place, but neither played all that effectively -- Booker had only four points and five rebounds on 2-of-5 shooting in 17 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Pistons, while Singleton had a game to forget against the Knicks, going scoreless with one rebound on 0-for-6 shooting in 20 minutes. Might (or should) Wittman start someone else in Nene's stead against the Sixers?

Garrett Temple filled in for Price against the Knicks, and figures to do so again tonight if Price can't go, seeing as how Wittman doesn't really have a dearth of options at backup point guard.
