Amongst the talks of trading our first pick for an upgrade at pf or c we should still focus on the second round. I think the second round has many potential sleeper prospects that could become solid nba players. With our first second round pick we should go for adreian payne. The guy is a great rebounder, good inside scorer, can step outside and hit the j (40% from 3, in part because of limited attempts), plays good d and can block his share of shots, and finally, he hustles and plays hard all the time. I think the spacing he would create with his outside touch would compliment wall and beal nicely. As he develops he could provide much needed relief for the aging nene, or maybe kevin love, depending on what moves we make. Bottom line on him is he is a good talent with decent upside and great work ethic. Next, with our second pick, i think nate wolters would be a decent pick at this time in the draft. He can score, he can shoot, he can play d, and most importantly he could potentially be a terrific 3rd guard that runs the offense that everyone seems to want. So let me know what you think we should do with the two picks, and some reason for why.
