Off-topic/rant, but recently i've been getting worried that Wall isn't the type of player we should be building our franchise/team around. This has nothing to do with his skills or ability, but rather his drive.

After watching this video on youtube, I really question his work-ethic and if he has that "it"/drive that all great players have. Has he really even improved since his rookie year? Heck, even his college days? He's been praised all of his life for being "that dude" and how he is amazing. He's been coddled by hundreds of people since high school. This in turn may have given him a fake sense of security that he doesn't need to put in the time and effort. That taking 1000 jump shots a day over the summer will somehow miraculously cure his jumpshot. There is something wrong if you really put up that many shots and don't improve. Either you're lying or you aren't training correctly. I could sit in a stationary spot and put up shots all day, but will that really make me a better jump shooter? How many times in a game does Wall get to shoot from a stationary position? Again, this is all subjective and I may be completely off basis. Maybe he really does work hard off the court, but that it isn't paying off yet. I just hate seeing other pg's in the league with just as much, if not less ability as Wall, improving and adding to their game. Rose, Kyrie, Holiday, the list goes on. Each of them have improved leaps and bounds every single year, yet Wall seems stagnant in his development. Sorry for ranting, just had to get this off my chest. I love Wall to death. I still remember when the Wiz won the lottery that year and I was going bonkers. Heck, my username is an ode to John's nickname. I wish nothing but the best for him, but he really needs to step up or shutup. Here's a quote to live by. "There are millions of, "There are millions of people that do the same thing that you do, and you'll never beat them out unless you're willing to compete." John needs to re-focus his attention on the game of basketball. Off court distractions needs to go out the window. Once he gives 110%, THEN we will finally be able to see the real John Wall.
