NBA trade rumors: The latest on the Jordan Crawford situation

Doug Pensinger

Updating the latest Jordan Crawford rumors after another DNP-CD.

It's clear by now that Jordan Crawford is on the trading block. The Wizards' second-leading scorer isn't playing as Randy Wittman has gone with more defensive-oriented players, and he's clearly not happy about it. During his fourth straight DNP-Coaches Decision, Crawford lounged with a towel over his head on the bench. Afterwards, he tossed his jersey into the crowd. Whether he was doing it out of frustration or appreciation for the few fans that chanted his name as he sat is unclear, but the symbolism of this potentially being his last game with the Wizards was hard to miss.

What's less clear: the Wizards' stance on Crawford. Let's play the trade rumor game:

ESPN's Chris Broussard:

Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Several teams are inquiring about Washington Wizards guard Jordan Crawford.

CBS Sports' Ken Berger:

The Wizards have fielded calls about Jordan Crawford, but have demonstrated no appetite to take back long-term money.

Confused? So am I. But this is trade season, where everything must be taken with a grain of salt.

The bottom line: no matter which side is initiating the offers, it seems reasonably possible that Crawford has played his final game in D.C.

UPDATE, 2:35 p.m.: USA Today reports that Crawford is "not pleased" with his role and the Wizards are looking to trade him. Not exactly earth-shattering given his actions last night. Crawford also ignored requests to comment on his situation after practice.
