Trade with Wolves

Hello Bullets Forever! I am VoodooMagic and I am a Wolves fan and regular Canis Hoopus poster. I have kind of a bit over there for proposing a bunch of trade ideas the Wolves should look into and often the response is "why would team x do this?"

So I am running a little experiment to see what the opposing team's fans think about a deal involving the Wolves! This is not meant to be disrespectful to any Wizards player or this isn't me thinking Wiz management or fans are idiots (let's be real, David Kahn is my GM....I can't make fun of anyone for having questionable management)

I am going to attach a poll. Even if you think the trade is so stupid you can't believe it, I would certainly appreciate some statics to use.

So I will propose a trade. Would the Wizards do this? Would you as a fan do this? I'm going to give you a reason why I think the Wiz would benefit from this, tell me if I am wrong

Scenario: 2013 Draft. Wizards don't have the first pick but have a high enough pick to get Ben McLemore. Wolves have a pick between 6-9.

Timberwolves: Trevor Ariza and the Wizards pick

Wizards: Derrick Williams, JJ Barea and the Wolves pick contractually trade works

Why the Wolves do this: Ben McLemore, I believe is a ridiculously good fit for our team. He's an unselfish 2 who can handle the rock, play good defense and is a ridiculously good shooter. Derrick Williams has a lot of upside, but it will never be realized playing under Adelman and behind Love.

Why I think the Wizards do this: If the Wiz get the first pick, you take Nerlens Noel no doubt, he's going to anchor a top 10 defense for the next 15 years. After that is there a really good fit in this draft for you? Nene is both awesome and you have a lot of money committed to him, so Zeller/Len aren't great options (and in general I personally don't love either players upside. Zeller I think could be good but I doubt he will ever be better than Nene) and then with McLemore, I think he's probably a better prospect than Beal but Beal is the real deal. I love Beal. It wouldn't be unprecedented for a team to draft a player at a specific position and then draft another player the next year....but it would surprise me a little bit. Beal/Wall is a pretty good young back court.

I think 2 things here

1) a stretch 4 who can score would do you guys wonders. Williams is a pretty fun player to watch as well as a frustrating player. He can score a lot of points in a short amount of time, but also will give you a head scratchier or two every game. I think by playing everyday and on a team that needs his skills he will thrive as a scoring 4.

2) if you get down to the middle of the lottery there are a few players that I think fit needs a little more. Otto Porter in particular seems like he'd be an incredibly nice fit alongside Wall, Beal, Porter, Williams, Nene.

What say you?

Additionally if you guys are as enamored with Mclemore as I am. if you were to draft McLemore would you be interested in a Williams+Barea for Beal swap?

Feel free to leave comments. I appreciate your time in reading this and voting. voting will close at the trade deadline
