Washington Wizards star John Wall left the team's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a left shoulder injury, but he did return.
The Washington Wizards' worst fears were again realized midway through the second quarter. Star John Wall fell to the floor in tremendous pain after driving the ball to the basket and left the game. It looked like Wall injured his left shoulder on the play.
Wall took a pass out of the post and accelerated to the basket. He ended up leaning in for a scoop shot and he got hit hard by both Jerryd Bayless and Zach Randolph. It's not clear which Grizzlies player caused the injury, but Wall stayed crumpled on the floor as play continued the other way. Eventually, he left with trainer Eric Waters while holding the shoulder and grimacing in pain.
It's obviously way too early to speculate on the severity of the injury. Once word comes out about it, we will let you know. All I can say is that the injury looked pretty bad.
