Now that John Wall has recorded his seventh consecutive game with 20 or more points, I wondered what the story was on that with Wizards. I found an article by Michael Lee in which he recounted Jordan Crawford getting his sixth consecutive game in 2012 (which, unless I missed something, seems to be the most recent occasion for even that many--which John has now passed):
Blatche had six consecutive games with at least 20 points from April 1 to April 9. Young had five straight games with 20 points or more last season, and Crawford had never done better than four in a row before his latest run.
Crawford would need another 20-point game to match Jamison, who topped 20 points in seven straight games from Jan. 5, 2010 to Jan. 15, 2010. Immediately after the Arenas gun incident became public, Jamison had games with 32, 26, 28, 32, 31, 31, 25 and 34 and was traded to Cleveland a month later. Butler hadn’t had 20 points six times in a row since November 2008, and Arenas hadn’t done it since March 2007.
I also found that Juwan Howard had a streak of 16 games for Bullets in 1996.
What does anyone else have on this? More important, who was the last to have 8 or more?
