Trading with the Bucks

My ideal trading partner right now is the Bucks. They are basically done already at 3-13 and they have some guys I am definitely interested in. Gary Neal is the perfect example of a guy we should be targeting. He is on a 2 year $6.5 mil deal making $3.25 this year. The bucks should be looking to shed salary any way they can right now because they suck and are still going to be on the hook next year for a lot of their players. Maybe Vesely + a 2nd rounder for Gary Neal gets it done. They get a 7 footer who is starting to show potential as a rotational player + a 2nd round pick + cap relief next year for a guy in Neal who isn't going to help them win this year. Neal would be the perfect 3rd guard with Wall and Beal. He can run the point, he can play off the ball, he is a great shooter, decent defender, just an overall very solid 3rd guard. I think finding a 3rd guard should be our #1 priority right now and Neal is the perfect fit.

There is another scenario I am pretty intrigued by but not sure if I would necessarily do it. Trading Ariza + GRjr + a second rounder for Gary Neal + Ekpe Udoh. Udoh is a young big who is pretty underrated and an awesome defender/rebounder. He would be a perfect 3rd big man with Nene and Gortat. You could try to give him a decent contract extension after this year as well as bring back Gortat and roll with that big man trio, which is very solid. Wall, Beal, Neal as a guard rotation with Nene, Gortat, Udoh as your big rotation while Webster and Otto hold down the small forward spot is a team that could seriously do damage in the East. I don't see why that team couldn't compete with the Pacers. The problem with this deal, however, is that we don't know what we have in Otto right now. Trading Ariza while he is playing this well and while Beal and Otto are out could hurt the Wiz this year. At the end of the day I think I would do this deal. Not sure if the Bucks do it but they are already committed to Zaza, Larry Sanders, Ilyasova so they might. Plus they have no wings so Ariza would definitely help them. Ernie should definitely be keeping an eye on this scenario because the Bucks are definitely going to be willing to deal very soon.
